• A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on April 25, 2015. This massive earthquake affected 39 of the 75 districts in the country, including Sindhupalchowk, Helambu Valley.
• The earthquake caused massive damage to the region, destroying houses and livelihood of the people in the country.
• The earthquake not only affected the region, but it caused major damages to the monastery that was still undergoing construction. The construction of the monastery started in 2008. 85 % of the establishment was completed before the disastrous earthquake but now the monastery needs reconstruction.
